Privacy policy

Updated · Tax year 2026

This policy explains what information HourFloor (https://hourfloor.com) collects and how it is used. Contact: hello@hourfloor.com.

Calculator inputs

The calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to our servers and are not stored by us. When you change an input, the page address updates so you can share or bookmark the result; if you open or share such a link, the values in the address are visible to whoever receives it and appear in standard web server and analytics logs as part of the address. We never send income amounts as analytics parameters.

Information collected automatically

  • Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested to deliver and secure the site.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used. It uses cookies and collects device, browser, approximate location and usage events (for example, that a calculator was used, with the tool name, state and tax year). Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and Switzerland do not get analytics cookies: Google Analytics may receive only cookieless measurement pings without identifiers from them.
  • Advertising. We do not show ads yet. We plan to use Google AdSense, and we will update this policy before any ad appears. When ads run, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you will be able to opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your privacy choices

  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out: analytics and advertising cookies are not used during your visit, in any country.
  • EEA, UK and Switzerland. Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. We do not show a consent banner yet; before we turn on ads, we will add a Google-certified consent tool that lets you choose.
  • Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
  • Email. Write to hello@hourfloor.com to ask about, or opt out of, any use of your information.

US state privacy rights

Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and, because we do not show ads yet, do not share it for targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, use Global Privacy Control or email us as described above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Retention and security

Analytics data is kept for 14 months. We do not hold accounts or payment data. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer them.
